It were as if they had
leapt up to the stars....
There in front of them was a large castle surrounded by black night sky filled with what looked like lightning. The elf explained it was just magical energy and there was nothing to be afraid of. He took her up to the castle door and knocked.

The door seemed to open by itself. They stepped inside and the elf already seemed to know his way around the castle. Not once did he hesitate or pause for directions, he took her straight to the other end of the castle to a large set of double doors. He knocked again,

double doors opened and they stepped inside.
There
sitting at a cluttered table was an elderly looking man. The girl
immediatley knew where she was at that moment. She had heard many
stories of the great wizard who was the oldest known practicer of
magic left in the world. The wizard stood to greet the young girl
and offered her a seat. She turned to look for the elf, but he
was gone leaving only a trail of glittering dust in the air.
The wizard
explained to the girl that it was her destiny to meet him. He had
known that they would meet just not this soon. He continued with
the prophecy that she was to have great adventures and painful
times in her life. She would go through many times of doubt, but
eventually prevail to become a great leader. He was to teach her
magical ways but she was not ready yet. She needed to live and
gain experience first, but that eventually she would apprentice
him and become a great magician herself. He gave her a special
gift before he sent her back. It was the only spell she would
know for many years. The spell to create the portal that would
transport her to the castle whenever she needed his guidance and
wisdom. She accepted his offerings gladly and the two became
close in the years to come. She said her goodbyes, and went back.
